There used to be a thread with this title, or close to this title. Couldn't find it with a search, so here's a resurrection.

The forum update seems to have fixed the problem of always being returned to page one of the topic list, instead of the page you left. Hurray for that. On the other hand, I seem to have lost my topic list and the "your view" option. Fine with me; I don't use "Your View" and I like having the space that the catagories window took up.

So here's my updated list of issues I hope might be addressed. (I'm not sure the "Your View" list even applies now.)

Using "Recent Discussions" in "Your View"

1. MINUS: no indication of read/unread.

2. MINUS: no indicaton of which discussion was just read, so I loose my place when going through the list of discussions.

3. MINUS: no indication of number of posts in a discussion.

4. MINUS: when viewing a discussion, no control of posts per page.

5. MINUS: can't move directly from discussion to discussion

6. PLUS: enter discussion at last post.

7. PLUS: items per page sticks, can be as many as you want.

8. PLUS: lots of room for list of discussions and for viewing posts.

Issues with forum.solidworks.com/threads ( heading: "SolidWorks Community > Discussions")

1. MINUS: items per page does not stick, always goes back to 30, and 50 is maximum.

2. MINUS: enter discussion at first post, but I prefer to enter at last post.

3. MINUS: no indicaton of which discussion was just read, so I loose my place when going through the list of discussions.

4. MINUS: when viewing a discussion, no control of posts per page.

5. MINUS: less room for list of discussions and for viewing posts.

6. MINUS: can't move directly from discussion to discussion

7. PLUS: shows read/unread.

8. PLUS: shows number of posts in a discussion.
