I'm working on a non-linear study using a displacement to drive the problem. Total displacement is 0.9in but I want to break it up into steps for a couple of reasons. The first step is 0.1in because most of the time this study fails within this distance, but it may take several hours to do so. The next step adds 0.4in (0.5in total) to a point where a new contact set is applied. Here's my question... Do I change my displacement to 0.4in or 0.5in for the restart? 0.4in would work if Cosmos adds the distance to the results. 0.5in would work if Cosmos is working to and end point... for lack of a better explanation.
Any ideas out there?
