Hello,

I am new to using Solidworks everyday.  I have used it every now n then for past five years so know the general stuff.  However, these two things have sprang up some thought lately and am sick of thinking about it.  First, is spline fit basically the same feature as autocad's pedit>multiple>join feature.  I have kinda realized in any cad program having sketch entities of any sort all being 1 usually helps later on.  Second, I have always had a problem making a sketch knowing part of the sketch will be cut from the extrusion.  Simple example.  A box with two circles in it.  Whenever I do that and extrude it will never automatically cut out the circles or give me an option to.  I know there must be a way.  Every other 3d program allows this.  Currently, I have to make a separate plane for the circles to cut from the box extrusion.  Any help would be great.  Sry for the boring questions.
