I have a part that has 32 different configurations. Some of the 30 configs have a second layer of configurations (derived config). Each configuration wither top level or derived config has there own unique part number. I am using this part in a new assembly and need a hole (that is turned on in a derived configuration). I want to use this part but the hole needs to have the chamfer on the part be turned off. Is there a way to do this in the assembly so I don't have to make a new derived configuration of a derived config, IE. hole chamfer on/off configuration?
087-1H-160-06-000 is top level part
087-1H-160-06-024 is the same part but with a 1/4" hole in the side with chamfer
087-1H-160-06-A24 is the same part with the 1/4" chamfered hole but at a different location
I don't want to create a new part number to use the 087-1H-160-06-A24 without a chamfer on the hole.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
