Need help with three bend types

I'm not very experienced with sheetmetal, but I want to try and do things the right way, not just get it done.

I've got three types of bends that I was wondering how others model them, or what the "right" way is.

I have a feeling that there is a better way that what I have done and will describe.

Bend A

First step was a cut extrude.  Second was an edge flange.

The way I have Bend A modeled it has created an error in the flat pattern.  It won't flatten but doesn't tell me exactly why.

Bend B

First step was a thin u-shaped cut, such as a laser kerf or a little wider.  Second was a sketched bend.  I wasn't able to get the sketch line too close to the existing radius without an error.

Bend C

First step was a cut extrude.  Second was a Boss-extrude.  This one I want the "finger" to remain untouched, and on the same plane as the face it's attached to.  Bend on either side of it.

Part is attached.  Many unconstrained sketches just using it as an example.

Thank you for any suggestions and help.
