I have a part that has two SolidWorks configurations. One configuration has a few features suppressed while the other does not.
This part gets mirrored as a component in an upper level assembly. Both configurations come over to the mirrored part - however they do NOT correctly reflect the corresponding geometry from the same configuration in the original part UNLESS that original part file is open. I'm not talking about 'updating' as in when the original changes... I'm talking about it simply not showing the correct geometry for a given configuration. This is bad for the mirrored part's drawing, depending on which configuration decides to be correct.
Is this a bug? Is there a work-around or a setting that might help?
I work at a large company so this is not something that can be manged by folks 'knowing' about the issue and ensuring the original file is open when they work on the drawing of the mirrored part.
BTW we're on 2015, SP5. Well be moving to 2017 soon.
