Dear All,
Hoping someone can give me some ideas here with regards to lofting. The problem so far involves a part that uses multiple profiles to generate a loft along what is a 3D spline. The issue im facing is one of accuracy. Although I can "tweak" connectors to give a reasonably concetric component, it is clearly just an approximation as you can still see regions of necking where the cross section reduces below the nearest section curves.
The part must incorporate differing diameter sections in some places so using a simple sweep is not an option. I have a feeling that what is missing here somehow involves guide curves but I just can't work out where these guide curves need to be positioned. It uses circular geomtery and I essentially want it follow the path of this centreline axis. It can't though since none of the sections touch the centreline spline.
