Suppose there two sketches joint by a guide line to loft. Let us say for this loft guide line can be sketched in two ways 2D or 3D. Is there any different in these two options?

I feel 3D guide line is easy especially if you want to have many guide lines. If it is 2D guide line you have to create plane and sketch.
