I have an assembly which has some components defined in context of the assembly, and in context of other subassemblies. So far I have not found any possible way to rename a file and have SW update the in-context links.
I've tried SW explorer. It will fix the links to assemblies that reference the file being renamed, it will not catch and update any of the in-context links.
I've tried having all the files, assemblies, and subassemblies where the in-context links are open at the same time and do a file save-as to the new name. It gives a message saying it won't update the links unless you do a save as/references, but that also doesn't update any of the links.
Is there any way to actually change a file name after the file is created and used to do any in-context editing (transfereing surfaces to another part so they can use dimensions from it)?
