Is there a way to make a solid body only trasmit axial loads?

I am currently trying to model a 4 link suspension for a vehicle but I am having trouble running the simulation as it would be in real life.

In real life the beam has 3 degrees of freedom but I can't run a simulation in solidworks with degrees of freedom. The other problem I am having is that the links in real life only trasmit axial loads. Is there a way to model this? I tried to make the bodies rigid but it created a simulation that was unbelievable.

With rigid links there was practically no stress in the beam. This cannot be right. I am applying a remote load of 200lbf longitudinally on each outward face and a load of 500lbf inward on one face. I expect the beam to undergo more stress and deflection than what it saw in this model. I have pictures of the beam and a ton of models. I just don't know what I am doing wrong or what I can do to improve my process. Any help would be appreciated.
