Hey all! I am currently building my own desktop for Solidworks and the GPU is the hardest thing to figure out. I know I want to go with a firepro (I don't want this to be an area for firepro vs nvidia but suggestions will be taken into consideration).
http://fireprographics.com/ws/products/comparison/index.asp Lists some good side by side specs of all their main cards but I am wondering how effective those features are in Solidworks.
I want to go with the W5000 (nice balance between price and performance) but I don't know if it is actually that much better than the V4900.
I would appreciate the help of anyone who has experience and/or konwledge and not just an opinion. Thanks!!
P.S:
This is what I'm getting for my desktop:
- AMD FX-8350 CPU
- AMD FirePro W5000???
- 1 TB HDD (Maybe a 256 GB SSD as well)
- ASUS Sabertooth 990FX
- 8 GB RAM @ 1866
- 550W power supply
- Rosewill Galaxy-01 tower
(Suggestions accepted)
