Is there a way to create a extra group in the BOM-list without changing the (sub)assembly structure?

For the use of the BOM-list for production steps I need to make some extra parallel groups in an assembly.

Creating subassemblies is not desirable because this would create a series structure and not a parallel one.

When creating a parallel structure, I wouldn't have the base part in each subassembly to mate the other parts to.
