we have 100 licenses and sometimes 80 concurrent users.

If the hardware running our license server fails, we anticipate that each hour of outage costs us many thousands of dollars.

We were thinking about deploying the triad option so that we could keep serving licenses even if a hardware failure occurs, but after buying the three physical servers we are learning that we need to use three dongles (there is no dongle requirement in the traditional flexlm non-triad arrangement we have in place now)

we want to avoid dongles.

We do have a full vmware esxi environment with vmotion enabled, so we are wondering if the option of sticking to the single server license arrangement might be a good option - no dongle required plus the vmotion would keep us running even if one of the esxi hardware servers fails...

any experiences or advice is appreciated!
