Improving and make Costing a better Product

Why is this not been made great yet? Solidworks, you have few years to make Costing a great product, but its hardly changed since its introduction... sigh??

I am finding that Costing in 2016 is not much different than 2015. I have been saying SW should really look at nesting software to improve the costing functionality and they are at least exploring the idea, but its still far from usable. in 2016 when you an 3x5x8 inch piece of 14 Gauge SS with a single bend in it, you can at least see a nested sheet of 102 bent SM parts, when I only need 3. It would nice to load up several SM SW parts into some sort of Interface that are of the same Gauge and have SW nest each of them per the specified sheet data provided. As for the costing it can be broken out per total of each part or as a whole.

I have been asking for information on setting up or someone to share an actual template, but no hitters yet. I asked one of our Sheet metal suppliers how they figure cost and when they are cutting it, its all about time to cut or how many pieces can be bent in an hour. SW costing does not figure any of that from what I have been reading.

I find it be a common practice for SW to introduce something cool and useful, and then never make it better until more than few thousand people want to actually use it. They should have a crew working on each area of the software to make it better and stop spending time on the UI alone, which is not good at all this year IMO.
