i wanted to know if i can get any idea here about a little project that i am doing.

my project is about gyms and press bench facility.

i want to redesign the weights that in the gym so it will be easier to put on and to take off from the rod. my plan is to redesign them so it will looks like a horseshoe. my big problem is the safety. any ideas of how i can care about this so the weights will be on the rod in a maximum of stability?
