Hi everyone,

I have a harness already routed in my assembly. I need to reuse it elsewhere in the same assembly — same wires, length, and connectors — but with a different position and geometry.

I tried using Reuse Route, which works, but SolidWorks automatically creates a new subassembly file with a different name (e.g. Harness_A1.sldasm, Harness_A2.sldasm). I’d like to keep the same file name or part reference so both appear as a single BOM item with quantity 2.

Most importantly:
I want to edit the second route independently without affecting the first one.

Is there any way to reuse a harness route like this — same name or part number in BOM, but with unique geometry per instance?
