How do I get the "BOM quantity" from my SWX custom properties to alter the BOM tables in EPDM? In SWX, you can use the "BOM quantity" custom property as a multiplier for bills of material. For instance, I buy a bracket as a pair, so I need to show 2 in my assembly, but I only want to purchase 1. I set my BOM quantity to a property, in our case, MULTIPLIER, then set MULTIPLIER to 1/2. Whenever the part is instanced in a BOM, the total instance count is multiplied by the custom property, so if have 4 instances, I will only show 2 in my BOM table without have to exclude anything. It is very powerful, and eliminates a lot of error. I thought I had found a way to force EPDM to use that custom property in its BOMs, but I cannot get it to work. I spoke to our VAR, and he said the only way to get it is to create a BOM in an assy or drawing, and use that BOM in EPDM. I would accept that answer without hesitation if the EPDM BOMs didn't recognize SWX BOM exclusion, but they do. Has anyone figured out how to make this work? On pg 124 of the 2012 administration guide, it seems to give you a way to do it, but this approach only applies to weldments. Thanks in advance.
