Here's what I'd like to do (tell me if this is an option, and if not, I'll make it an ER):

I've modified my part and assembly templates to all have a "simplified" derived configuration under the "Default" config.

Now, when I create an assembly using those templates, I'd like SolidWorks to automatically reference the "Simplified" configs of the parts when I switch to the "Simplified" assembly derived config (and back to Default when I change back). Ideally I'd like to do this without resorting to treehouse or macros every time.
