Depending on your industry and in the right hands, this can be a finely tuned, handy-dandy Feature to have in your back pocket....
That said, some nice additions would be to:
1) Give the ability to ctrl-pick points from different curves. As it stands, only the points on the same curve can be manipulated at the same time.
2) Curves can snap to the mesh/grid. Yes the grid is not "real", and adding "Face Curve" type sketches would probably slow things down a bit depending. (It'd be nice if the curves from face curves "could" be automatically made to be coincident, a Surface could be constructed through them afterwards, but it might be a bit much)
As simple of an addition as this may seem to be, it can be huge in terms of adding additional control for this Feature.
