Hello everyone,
I have the task of running simulation on a steel stack, around 60m high. I ran flow simulation with the exact wind speeds based on height. I then exported the results to a static study and coupled with gravity I completed the study and apparently everything is working fine.
However, my colleagues then said that they need results in the base so that they can design the foundation below the chimney, but I cannot figure out how to get those results and I suppose that I am doing something wrong in the setup phase. Since the chimney is trying to rotate around it's baseplate's center point, on one end of the flange there is tension in the bolts and on the opposite end there is compression. So they need results like those in the last two pictures (from a software called Tower). I tried foundation bolts, virtual wall, contact with a 'foundation' body, fixed faces in the bolt openings, but still I could not achieve such results.
Has someone stumbled into such a problem?
