I have just upgraded to a high res monitor (2560 x 1440) and upgraded from a quadro 600 at the same time as it was already struggling and I thought this woudl kill it...
Performance is definitely a bit better alhtough there are many cases where I am CPU limitted, which is fine. I can often enable realview with very little impact on peformance (indicating cpu limitation) but HLR display does seem to have a big impact (does that meand the edges need a fair amount of CPU time?).
However one thing that is odd is that I can't seem to get the "full scene anti aliasing option" to not be greyed out so I am wondering if I have a driver issue of some sort. Before you suggest that: I don't have anything open in SW, I have the "approved" 8.982.8.1 driver and it is set to "use application settings" (in all categories).
I also made sure I uninstalled everything Nvidia related (and rebooted in safe mode and ran driver sweeper) so there should be nothing left behind.
I'm running SW 2011 SP5.0 on Win7 x64
Any idea what I could try? Anyone running the same combination (2011 and w5000) that can confirm it works for them?
Thanks,
