Why does a file need an XML extension for PDM Pro data cards to read attributes? I have an XML file and I connect its attributes to a PDM data card variable. Change the file's extension, ensure the new extension is listed in the variable's attribute definition, but the link breaks.

Anyone figured out a way to use a custom file extension for an XML file and keep the data card links?
