Failed creating core and cavity solids

Hi all,

I'm very new to SolidWorks so please bear with me, I apologise if I seem slow/confused!

I recently designed an awkward, complex shape in Fusion360 and thought I'd give SolidWorks a go at making the mold. As the part is non-planar, I tried to follow some tutorials which I was mostly successful with until I got the the 'tooling split' stage.

The shape of the part is roughly a backwards 'L' shape, however I was having trouble with the parting surface and the tooling split, so I've decided to angle it to its more of a 'V' shape (side-on). Doing this got rid of most of my issues however I'm seemingly stuck on the last bit and was hoping someone could help give me a push in the right direction?

I originally tried to outline the parting surface and convert entities to produce a sketch, but this came with some issues of its own (I believe I was able to fix the sketch issues but then I still faced the same error message I'm getting now.)

I decided to scrap the previous sketch, and place a nice simple rectangle around the part for the tooling split, everything looks okay to me (to be taken with a pinch of salt as I'm a complete noob!) but when I go to press the green check mark, I get the following error message: 'Failed creating core and cavity solids'  as seen in the attachment below.

For context heres some pictures of what my part looks like (first image is front on, without parting surface visible):

Side on, without parting line visible:

With parting line visible:

Also might be worth mentioning to clear up any confusion - the mold will be a one-off sacraficial mold due to the complex and awkward draft angles.

Again, any help is really appreciated!

Thanks
Ben
