Hello, I'm having trouble with equation driven patterns. I'm using an equation to drive instance number and spacing on a curve driven pattern (CrvPattern2, in RotorCage part), and instance nuber on a circular pattern (Cirpattern1, in RotorCage part) in the attached file.
The driven patterns are in a virtual part in an assembly. The equations are driven from measurements of sketch lines in the part, which are linked to a sketch(Sketch6 in RotorCage part) at the assembly top level (Sketch1).
My plan is to change the line lengths in the assembly sketch, and have that update the patterns in the part. I know this can work because it has before, but I don't know what has gone wrong now. Looking though the forums, I've seen configurations mentioned, but I only have 1 configuration (default) of both the part and the assembly.
When I go into the equation editor for the part, the equations have all updated, but the geometry doesn't.
For example, in the attached model, there should 25 instances in the curve pattern, since I updated the appropriate dimension in the assembly. If I look in the equation editor in the part, I see 25, If I look at the dimension "D1@CrvPattern2" in the equation editor, I see 25, but if i double click on CrvPattern2 in the feature tree, to bring up the dimension in place with the geometry, I can see 79.
Anybody have any ideas?
P.S., the model takes a pretty long time to rebuild, so heads up on that.
