Display states in Sections

OK, so I have a drawing for a basket assembly. The basket is made up with an outer perforated shell and an inner liner, both around the sides and on the bottom. The assembly model is set up with displays where the side and bottom lines can be hidden or unhidden. The drawing starts with a top view and a Section View down through the whole thing.. Then there is another section showing the seam joint. There are also detail views taken from the main section view showing the top and bottom joints.

What I'd like to do (Actually, what my Boss wants me to do) is have the liners hidden in the main Section view but showing in the detail views. The problem I'm running into is that when I switch the display state in the detail views, the liners are coming in as not sectioned, which covers up anything behind them. On top of that, anything that is sectioned but hidden behind the liners appears as just the cross-hatching..

Any thoughts on how to get things to behave? Other ideas on how to accomplish what I'm trying to do?

I have tried  to attach the files with a pack& go. If it didn't work right, let me know.

I'm using 2019

thanks Much,

Joe
