Hello People of Solidworks!
This is my first time on the forum, so I hope I am doing this right.
I am designing a 5 station cold form progression, I start with a cylinder and end up with a different shape. Is there a way I can use design study to help create my progression based on things I know about the relative shape? I am fairly unfamiliar with the design study feature, but I have seen some of the things it is capable of and I feel like it is my best bet. I have constant volume and just one unknown dimension that relates to the volume and how the volume is divided to form different features.
Below is just a simple example I pulled, but if I can get direction on this, I should be able to go through all the others. The only unknown would be the length of the part on the left. All other features are known and volume is conserved (which is what I want to base everything on). The only other hurdle I can think of would be adding sensors to individual features or having a feature volume I can pull from the part.
Let me know if there is anything I can do. Thanks!
