Hello,
I recently started using SolidWorks Visualize, and I have been exploring using cutting planes as a way to quickly create a section view of my assemblies. However, when I go to render a head-on view of the created section view, the portion of the assembly that is directly in contact with the cutting plane seems to have its color gone, as if no light is reaching the newly "seen" portion of the model. Is there a setting that I need to toggle to have the lighting interact with the created section view?
I have tried adjusting the gamma/brightness of the file and this did not change anything. I also tried repositioning the model to see if it was a matter that the environmental lighting was not properly aligned, but that didn't seem to work either. I have the standard license of Visualize, so I don't believe that I can add an independent lighting source to shine on the model. I am just using the "low key studio" environment with a white background.
Any assistance on the matter would be appreciated. Thank you!
