I've been working in a large assembly in SW 2011. I use a lot of custom appearences (many specific laminates). After I have all the appearances applied correctly save, close, and reopen my custom appearences are missing their linked image. For organization reasons I have the images in a seperate folder then the custom appearances folder. I started copying the images over to my custom appearance folder and remapped the referenced image to see if this fixed the issue and it seems that it mostly did. I seldom have the issue now, but as someone else noted thumbnails get jumbled w/ the jpg references in the appearance tab.

I'd prefer to have the images in a seperate folder; is there a known reason why I get this link-breakage issue? Is there a referenced file locations I should add? Anyone else have this issue?
