I need to convert my Solidwork assembiles into a 3D step file to send to our customers for them to be able to use in their 3D program but for proprietary reason and because of the size of the step files, I don't want them to have the ability to see/modify the complete build structure of our assemblies. Is there an easy way to create a 3D step file of my assembly that will convert it into a single entity (part) so that it can't be modified and they don't see all of the components used in the assembly? I've tried converting the assembly into a part file inside Solidworks first and then creating the step file but the file size ends up being too large to use.
