I had to rebuild my Lenovo W500 from scratch with Windows 7 64 bit and a fresh installation of solidworks 2013.  I have noticed that if I don't save the part first and hit the "x" in the upper right to close the part solidworks hangs.  It's like there is a prompt but it is no were to be found.  I have to hit escape, then "save" the drawing or part and then I can exit no problem.

It never use to do this so if any one has suggestion that would be great.  I assume that normally what should happen is if I try to close and the part/drawing has not been saved then a prompt should come up asking me to save before closing, but that is not happening for some reason.

Any help greatly appreciated.
