Our company is running EPDM v.12.1. When it was installed, it was installed on a single server. We have since installed multiple replicated servers at our other locations and I need to change the database location of each machine to match that of their physical location.
Instead of going through the EPDM Administration application and manually adding a server, I am wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to add the server through a regedit .bat.
I see the keys at
HKLM\SOFTWARE\SolidWorks\Applications\PDMWorks Enterprise\Databases\OGI_EPDM\ServerLoc
and
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\SolidWorks\Applications\PDMWorks Enterprise\Databases\OGI_EPDM\ServerLoc
and when manually changing the key it does add the new server to the Admin application, but does not remove the original as it is house under the unique user key in HKEY_USERS. Deleting that key removes it from Admin, but obviously I can't write a .bat to remove a unique key across multiple users.
Does anyone know if this is a viable solution? Sorry if it has been answered before, but I searched around for a while and could not find any information.
Thanks ahead of time for any insight on this.
Short version: Need to local machine's EPDM DB from serverX to serverY. Servers are identically replicated. Would like to do through regedit .bat if possible and avoid doing manually.
