This is probably a very basic question and I have searched the forums for this, but I cannot seem to add reference geometry points and I would really like to try this tutorial:

I have no idea why this is happening, seems like it ought to be straight forward and it's not.

I have a sketch open, it is not revolved or anything.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and I apologize for such a silly question.
