I have a right hand handle with a part number 13-227-312, it has a drawing with the same number.
Created a mirror - left/right feature that put in a left hand version of the handle on the other side of my assembly. It all looks correct in the assembly. Trying to create a second drawing with the part number 13-227-317 for the left hand version of this handle.
Here is how I proceeded:
- In the feature tree opened up the mirrored part.
- Did "save as" with the "save as copy" unchecked as part number 13-227-317.
- Feature tree updated, and I can see that 13-227-312 is still present in the assembly and tree structure.
When opening up the 13-227-312 drawing it know says it can't find the 13-227-312 part????? Even though the 13-227-312 part is present in the directory as everything else. When I open 13-272-312 part I can say open drawing and it finds the drawing but the views are all "Xed" out.
My hope was to be able to open the 13-227-312 drawing and do a "save as copy" to 13-227-317 changing the reference so it would point to 13-227-317, but this concept seem to have broken my drawing .....
Is there a better way to do this?
