I like to set my balloons to "none" and use "custom properties", and set the custom properties to "filename"...I also like them with no leader. Is there a way that I can just set this once when I am in a drawing? if I set it and place some annotations, then get out of it, it looses the setting and if I get back into annotations again I have to set them again. The other problem is there is no option to not have a leader, I have to select them all after placing, then I get the option to not have a leader. I tried saving as s style, but it only saves the custom properties drop down, but not what I had it set to (filename). Any ideas? thanks in advance!  BTW still using SW 2011
