Hello SolidWorks Guru's,
See if you can figure this one out.
I have two Assembly configurations where one of the parts changes slightly in length. A single Cut Extrude is used in the Assembly Model file to display a quarter section showing the inside of the Assembly. I use the Cut Extrude along with an Appearance color to give the quarter sectioned parts some contrast.
I then create a drawing from this assembly with the each configuration on two separate sheets. Each view is oriented to display the colored quarter section Cut Extrude.
Here's the thing:
If I activate Config 1 in the 3D Assembly and then go to my drawing, I find that Config 2's Cut Extrude color is gone.
If I activate Config 2 in the 3D Assembly and then go to my drawing, I find that Config 1's Cut Extrude color is gone.
So, I've tried all avenues, like checking/unchecking "link display to configurations" and making sure that the Cut Extrude Appearance color is for "All Configurations". Nothing works. I've noticed when I switch configurations back and forth within my 3D Assembly, the first switch shows no Color and after a few times back and forth the color remains and the configuration color shows properly between the two configs. I've also tried boosting image quality and performance within the options windows.
This has been like this since using 2009 and it's the same with 2010 and I'm on a new computer and it's still the same.
It must be a bug of some sort. Anyone else find this is true?
Any help would be great.
