Admin image setup

We're trying to get ready for a 2013 launch and we have been tasked with setting up the System Settings file so we are all on the same page at the same time.  The most common issues we have with new users is our template files, which we can take care of, but with so many settings that can be set up, I have been asked to find out if there are any settings that are common to change in your systems?

We haven't set up our Toolbox to work well for us.  We don't have PDM (yet, Workgroup is next on the to do list) so everyone is trying to use the Toolbox on their C drives.  I have read that there can be performance issues with using a shared toolbox database on the network.  We have our own part numbering system for all components, so we need to also update the Toolbox custom properties. 

So, any suggested system settings and Toolbox suggestions would be appreciated.
