Hi, I am looking for a solution to create accurate (+\- .005" or better) CAD 3d models from existing parts via scanning. Currently I use a pair of digital calipers but this can be time consuming and for certain geometries simply does not work. Most of the parts are hand-sized, with larger parts occasionally needed. I have SW premium so I am able to import point cloud data. This is not an enormous part of my business, so I don't need a mega expensive machine with lots of bells and whistles, just looking for a better solution to accurately reverse engineer components for around the \$5k or less range. Anyone have any suggestions?
