SW2020 (and previous version) extremely long rebuild and editing times. What is solidworks actually doing when you edit a sketch of a large part, or rebuild an assembly etc - when the CPU is idling, GPU is 0% (as it doesn't use it), plenty of RAM (32GB) - the system actually appears to be doing nothing, yet solidworks is stuck thinking and not progressing. It takes so much time to do some things, yet the computer appears essential idle. There is not a single core of CPU that is over 20%. i7-3930K, 32GB RAM, SSD drive.
I take PCB's from Altium Designer and bring them into solidworks, showing all the tracks and pads and polygon pours etc, so some of the sketches can be large. But soliworks literally sits there thinking, locked up, and the computer is idle. What is it actually doing?
