So, I have been an avid and enthusiastic user of PDM for many years. PDM is able to map variables to data on the 2D drawing i.e. revision, revision description, approved by etc...
So far, I am not seeing this capability with 3DExperence. Additionally, it seems, tasks like pdf creation upon approval for instance, are not there either. Most manufacturing organisations rely on these types of actions and without them it seems that 3DExperence is essentially, in the context of aforementioned companies only good for collaboration between designers, project mangers etc and managing data 'in the office'. From my limited exposure, it seems no good for relaying this information into manufacturing data which PDM is great at.
Can anybody please refute my sentiments before I uninstall 3DExperence from my machine?
