While trying to use parametric optimization through an external solver, HEEDS from Siemens, we are trying to figure out how to save the resulting plots/values for factor of safety and stress as global variables or values in Solidworks' equation space. Is it possible to do so? HEEDS has a Solidworks portal where you can port over part dimensions and globally defined values from the Equations space found in Solidworks>Tools, so that's how any values from Solidworks would be transferred and referenced in the external solver. Our project involves optimizing for mass and highest strength, being part of a front steering system mount.
Please let me know if there's a way to do what I described above in Solidworks.
