Hi guys, 

The market is now full of cheap and easy solutions to draw 3D concept. 
Our customers, our sales team and even architects and builders use these free solutions (Sketchup, Pcon Planner, ...) 

I'm unable to open those files with Solidworks, and it's really boring to reopen those projects, get all measurement, re-do all the job on solidworks ... for sometimes just design few cabinets/furnitures or a specific parts. 

Sketchup have a huge database of house 3D objects, what Grabcad is more orientated to the industrial needs. 
So people working with individual and/or house project like Sketchup also for this rich database. 

Pcon Planner on the other side get a really good rendering result, and some of our suppliers provide database for this software. 

I don't want to spend all my time, to re draw 3D I need. 

I think it's time to link the 2 worlds, and get Solidworks able to open all these files, specialy the 3D DWG.
