What Step and Element need to chosen in Abaqus to model steel column beam flush endplate connection in fire?

To model Column Beam Flush Endplate connection in Fire in Abaqus , what step and element type should be chosen? My reference model only mentioned to use C3D8R element (https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0379711219305648

 

). I have used Loading step (Static-General) and Fire Step ( Coupled- temp displacement (transient)). But it doesn't show output for C3D8R element in Coupled-temp displacement step.

1. What step should be chosen if C3D8R element is chosen?

2. I tried using C3D8T for Coupled-temp displacement step, but facing "Time increment required is less than the minimum specified", I have tried increasing time increment and cutbacks but can't solve it. What to do?
