Hi all,

I am attempting to use a VFRICTION user subroutine for a cutting process, where I have defined a General Contact interaction between a cutting tool and a workpiece. However, I continue to get an job error saying that "The VFRIC user subroutine is currently not supported for use with 'CONTACT' (see the surface interaction xxx)".

I have looked through the ABAQUS User Subroutine Reference Guide and it states that VFRICTION "can be used only with the general contact algorithm". And I'm also confused because the error message refers to VFRIC whereas I am actually using VFRICTION.

Any suggestions? :)
