Tie connection for shell modelling (3DExperience platform)

Hi everybody,

I already posted a few questions about this matter but I have a new one.

I have mid surfaces separated by gaps and I try to make understand SIMULIA that those mid surfaces are actually in contact in 3D. What I do for that is that in the Connection bar, I make Tie connections between them by making sure that a surface is not put twice as a slave (or it brings non-convergence). Everything works fine with that because the solution converges but I am not getting the same result that in volumic wich worrie me a little. Even worse, when I look at the begginning of the step versus the end of it in the results, it appears that some pieces are still moving despite the tie connections but also somehow they do not seem affected by the gravity load I put on the entire model (no Von Mises constraint on them whereas they should have it). My question is the following:

What options should I tick in the Tie box to make it realistic and make sure that pieces do not move? Are they specific rules for Tie connections? And if not respected could it bring bad results?

Sorry if I was not very clear with my problem, I would love to answer your questions if you have some.

Thanks
