Hello all,
I am currently running simulation of pressing process and since the overclosure is sometimes quite big, the convergence rate is rather slow with the default setting for interaction property in the normal direction. I thought I could use exponential pressure-overclosure relationship where I define 2 points [c0,0] and [0, p0] to make the simulation run faster.
Q1: Is there any rule of a thumb that would determine in advance what are the constants, or at least the order of magnitude?
For example based on material data (either in relation to the less stiff part's E modulus or maybe in relation to the E moduli ratio of the 2 parts in the pressing simulation).
So far what I am doing is that I feed abaqus with some initial data and then check penetration in relation to the size of contact elements and do appropriate adjustment, basically iterative process.
Q2: Is Euler's number a base for an exponential function of Pressure-Overclosure relationship? Or is it for instance number 2?
