Hello all,
We are working on to build a FEA model involving hyperelastic materials at their glass transition temperature (for example -40°C). To facilitate our work, we have some queries on this topic as follows:
How can we provide viscoelastic properties in Abaqus at different temperatures (23°C and -40°C) under Prony series (both shear and volumetric relaxation)?
Which type of material properties required to simulate hyperelastic material at glass transition temperature (-40°C for example HNBR - (Hydrogenated Nitrile Butadiene Rubber))?
Analysis type: Static structural - durability of rubber during assembly process (like crimping/compression) with steel parts with friction coefficient of 0.2
Analysis steps:
Step – 1: 23°C (Assembly)
Step – 2: -40°C
Step – 3: 23°C
Evaluation criteria: EE and contact pressure
Abaqus version - 2024 HF1
Thanks,
Vignesh R
