Hello everyone,

I am working on simulating an additive manufacturing process using 3DExperience, and I’ve encountered an issue. For better layerwise meshing, I defined each layer as a separate section and created surface-based contacts between the layers. However, during the structural analysis step, I keep getting the following error:

“In any procedures that solve for displacements, contact will not work with element activation.”

The structural analysis fails due to this error. Does anyone have experience with this issue or suggestions on how to resolve it?
