I am currently doing a simulation in Abaqus/Standard with both contact (tangential + normal behavior) and cohesive surface interaction (cohesive behavior + damage). I put all the parameters into a contact property and then define a surface-to-surface contact. I found a problem related to the tracking algorithm in Abaqus to my simulation. In my simulation, because the 2 surfaces defined as contact have relatively large movements, using Small Sliding is not suitable and choosing Finite Sliding is better. However, I found that using Finite Sliding causes the area defined as Cohesive interaction to change throughout the simulation and this is not reasonable.
Now I want to define Cohesive interaction by Small sliding and tangential + normal behavior by Finite sliding, is there any way? Or anyone know the solution regarding aforementioned problem?
Thank you very mucCohesive contact, Small sliding, Finite sliding, Abaqus, Contact
