Hi all,
I am modeling the deformation of a hyperelastic rod using ABAQUS. I have analytical expressions for the two X-Y-Z displacement fields I want to impose to the rod's centerline. The difficult part is that I want to superimpose them, and that they have different amplitudes functions; the amplitude of the first is the typical ramp (goes from 0 to 1 linearly), but the amplitude of the second starts at 0 and ends at 0, and has the shape of a half sine wave (could be a parabola also, as long as its value goes from 0 to 0 during the step). Any idea how I could do that? I really have to impose the two displacement fields at the same time for convergence reasons. Could I maybe write the displacement fields at as a function of a time variable directly (not sure how to do that)?
Cheers
