I am trying to find a strategy of step cycling using sensors to control the number of cycles.
I’m running a durability model with a simple sine wave signal controlled by an amplitude curve defined by parameters so I can vary the amplitude and frequency (and temperature) from one analysis to the next.
The material model is hyperelastic with both Mullins Damage and Plasticity defined.
I would like to run the model until it reaches equilibrium. This is an indeterminate number of cycles until damage and plasticity no longer increase.
I can use Step Cycling to let Abaqus repeat the step and run the sine cycle repeatedly, and I can define sensors to monitor.
However, the sensor Step Control only seems to allow for max or mins, I’m not sure how I can monitor the delta reaching zero from one cycle to the next. I don't know what the maximum damage and plasticity will be, and it will vary for each case.
